89. Q-dumosa and durata. Sessile with a sharp-edged clasping base. Contained full-grown larvae Sept. 9 (Sequoia National Park). Adults were cut out Jan. 25.

Cynipid Galls of the Pacific Slope

Single or in groups of up to 25. Sessile with a smooth brown basal part clasping the twig, the top enlarged, rugose, dull, and darker in color, probably secreting honeydew when young.
