Gallformers ID Notes

A gall similar in overall form to Kokkocynips rileyi, but differing in having a much thicker and wider "hat" than is typical relative to the lower globose portion, and in being found between leaf veins rather than emerging from a vein. On the lower side of a leaf of Quercus marilandica in July.
