Galls are deformed fruits, 3mm long and 2mm wide.
Pyriform with large end basal and apex truncate.
Pale ochreous with some white tomentum.

This is a monothalamous, pyriform, approximately 34 mm long by 2 mm in basal diameter. It is covered with trichomes and occurs on the flower buds (cf. Fig. 335, Felt 1940).

Lectotype male, here designated, Denver, Colorado, emerged III-1909, "Artemisia frigida", in USNM.

Fusiform flower or leaf bud galls, length 4mm.
