Gallformers ID Notes

Two similar galls have been observed in Washington, one on Salix scouleriana in June and one on Salix sitchensis in September. Both are short, cylindrical galls between veins on the lower side of the leaf with a distinct circle at the apex, sparsely covered in hairs, pale green to yellow in color, leaving a discolored circle on the upper side.
