In dry stems of Amaranthus Palmeri, not forming a distinct gall. Larva orange; anchor-process with the head terminating in two large sharp teeth, and the sides of the head produced into long sharp teeth. Adult unknown. Mesilla Park, N. M.

The original report of this damage (Cockerell 1902) indicated that the swelling was inconspicuous. Only the larva is known, and it is tentatively placed under Neolasioptera. Host: A. palmeri.
